Magistrate Judge Kevin L. Kimball, founding Judge of the Franklin Co. Juvenile Drug Court, presided over the event. The Drug Court graduates had to successfully progress through the three phases of the drug court program, abstain from substance use, and appear in front of Judge Kimball on a bi-monthly basis.
The road to graduation from Drug Court is not easy, so Judge Kimball thanked the young adults and their families for their hard work. He also thanked the supervision officers and treatment providers for their dedication and their efforts to assist the graduating juveniles.
Drug Courts are being utilized by judges in many states and are proving to be one of the most effective ways to address community substance abuse.
